Hi everyone!
Today, I will be sharing our grammar teaching video and grammar worksheet. I already shared my thoughts on flipped class with you, please visit my previous post if you want to check it out. However, I want to discuss it specific to grammar teaching. Grammar teaching is a time-consuming activity in the classroom. Students are generally silently sit and listen to the teacher, which is not exactly what we need in the classroom. We need learners to be active. Flipped grammar teaching paves the way for the learners to be more active and self-confident. It reduces the time spent on lecturing. I find flipped classroom beneficial specifically when teaching grammar and I'd love to use it with my students.
As for the video and worksheet, first we examined the workbook and decided on the grammar subject we want to work on. Then, we created a lesson plan and text to voice-over. After Yaren and I voice-overed the text, we discussed which tool to use and decided on animaker. We already used it once, so it was easier than the last time. Oğuz created and edited the animation. Then, we decided to create a worksheet to exercise Past Continuous Tense. We used canva to create it.
Here are our video and worksheet, I hope you like them. I also will share my friends' blogs.
