MY FINAL BLOG POST!

Hi everyone!      Today I will be talking about my Educational Technologies course journey and my thoughts on this term.       First of all, I'm glad that I took this course. When I first saw this course name, I thought that it is probably one of the typical courses that offer subjects such as using Microsoft Word, Excel, and so on. It definitely shocked me when I found out that this course has many creative, productive, and useful subjects to offer. Before taking this class, I would only think that technology can only be integrated by using certain apps or popular websites and social media platforms such as Edmodo, YouTube, Zoom, PowerPoint, Duolingo, and British Council. I still think that these are useful apps and websites but now I know that there are MANY OTHERS! This course literally made me realise that I'm not aware of how many opportunities we have with the integration of technology. I also realised that I can benefit from technology mor...

Digital Storytelling - How to meditate in 7 simple steps

Hi everyone!      Today, I will be talking about digital storytelling. This new task includes 3 options. Creating a PSA, a How To video, or a fictional story. All projects are for 2 or 3 people. I teamed up with Yaren Topçu and Oğuz Kaleş . We chose creating a How To video project. Our topic is meditation. Before creating the video, we divided the task into 3. Yaren wrote the script and find the gifs and pictures, I vocalised the script and Oğuz edited the pictures, gifs and finally created our video.      I just used my phone's audio recorder to record my vocalisation. Oğuz used Adobe Premier Pro 2020 to edit the video. For me, the process wasn't too hard but I worked on the script at least 20 times before starting to record my voice. After 3rd or 4th trial, I did my best and we decided to use it.      I enjoyed doing this task and I would definitely use this task to encourage my students to use the language to create inspiring p...

INFOGRAPHICS-Online Education

Hello everyone!     Today I will be sharing my infographic on online education and how to be a successful student during Covid-19. The task is creating an infographic using any tool you choose and creating a blog post to share the details. I created my infographic by using Canva. I liked this tool as it allows you to use templates and you have control over everything to personalise your infographic.          The task is entertaining as it involves colours and designing as you wish. I would love to give this task to my students as it requires research and creativity to create an infographic.           Here is my infographic:   Feel free to contact me if you have any ideas, questions, and comments.
